90's mania

Let's talk about the nostalgic mania, which has been around for a while now. Don't get me wrong. I love the 90's. I was lucky enough to be born in 1990. I have the pleasure of having my childhood memories surrounded by the 90's era. Meaning, being the incarnation of Salor Merkur, dancing around like Sporty Spice, loving one of the Backstreet Boys and playing Nintendo's Super Mario Kart, just to name some of them. Not even to mention all the movies and series, which influenced my life. And so it is really interesting to see that the 90's have a great impact on contemporary culture. Mostly, I noticed the impact on fashion, music and lifestyle.

You see people wearing jeans jackets again, or having little "90's gadgets", which they call vintage, or young bands covering 90's hits. Like TLC's song "No Scrubs" covered by the band Bastille.

Some people are making fun of those people, who fell for this mania. But let me tell you this. Those people still go to the 90's trash parties, where you have to dress up like someone from the 90's. They still buy the cellphone case, which looks like a Nintendo gameboy from the 90's, and are still making fun of the 90's maniacs.

Well, I like this nostalgic mania. It allows me to reminisce about the 90's. Stuff shows up, which, I thought, was buried in oblivion and which should stay buried in oblivion. But then, all the good stuff is back again.

So don't judge and enjoy it. Who knows what might be next...
